All members who join the TCG are required to make a forum account as you will need to post in the Starter Pack Bonus thread after you've submitted the join form on-site, then DM us afterwards to become a fully approved, official member.![[Image: d5636d7f2aae7dedae5e07e03eefd8a02c202912.png]](https://64.media.tumblr.com/eb0c0bb790550b6e586b9c057bde1b05/399773ede13f1e1e-93/s1280x1920/d5636d7f2aae7dedae5e07e03eefd8a02c202912.png)
Please also ensure you follow the regular TCG rules and guidelines, along with the forum rules below:
- Your forum account/username needs to be the same name that you joined the TCG with, or else your account may be deleted due to suspicion of being spam, bots, etc. If you made a mistake while registering, contact us ASAP so we can fix it!
- Do not make consecutive posts in the same thread either to spam, bump, or other reason! If you've made a post and it seems to have been overlooked or forgotten because you've seen someone reply to other posts made after yours, simply ask the relevant staff member or an admin to make sure they saw it.
- Edits to posts are allowed but ONLY if it has not been responded to/processed/approved yet (in terms of it being a service, activity, donation, etc-type post). This is just to prevent any confusions or mistakes that could occur if an edit was made to something already replied to!
- Give us at least 1 week to reply to anything! While we will likely respond faster than that, a week is usually a decent amount of time to wait before poking someone about something. Please be nice about asking, however! Aggression or rushing will not help anyone.
- Please be respectful and courteous to players and staff alike! Even if you do not like or get along with someone, try to be civil at least so this community can remain a comfortable space for all. If you do have drama or anything similar that does not involve the TCG or others at large, we ask you take it elsewhere.
- Be patient and understanding with admins and staff as well! Not only do we have lives outside of the TCG as well as other commitments, hobbies, etc that we have to or like to do, we are also players so we may want to take a break from staffing duties to participate in the TCG as well.
- Keep your posts and content work-appropriate or at least spoiler it and label it as such and/or with any warnings, if applicable! Above the post box, there is a row of buttons to help format your posts - click on the icon next to the one that looks like a broken chain link and is semi-transparent and a window will pop up that allows you to enter a title and the content of the spoiler that will be revealed once the spoiler is clicked on. You can also use the code below and paste it into the post box if you first click on the "View Source" button (the last button at the end of the row) to change the posting mode to BBCode!
Code:[spoiler="title here"]your spoiler goes here[/spoiler]
FORUM PROFILES ★
- Avatars must be at least 100px x 100px in size but can go up to 300px x 300px (and any size in between), however due to the forum's current theme, all avatars are are displayed with rounded edges! It can be uploaded through the forum or you can use an external link to upload one.
- Signatures should have a relatively large character limit (with a maximum of 5 links allowed) but if you somehow need more, let us know, but please do not stretch your signature past the forum's natural dimensions.
- There are fields in your user control panel to add your pronouns, Twitter/X, and/or Discord; filling in any of the profile fields are optional so fill them in at your discretion! If you think there's something else we can add, please suggest it to us!!
- Forum ranks (also known as Custom User Titles) can be self-assigned and entered on the "Edit Profile" page! Please keep things respectful and non-offensive.
POST FORMATTING ★
- The forums still use BB Code, however when making your first post/thread, it may not look like it if you are only using the buttons above to format your post! For example, clicking on the button to add a link will make a pop up appear that lets you paste in the URL and link text (also called the "Description" in the pop up) then once you click "Insert," it will add the link as it should appear when previewing/publishing your post.
- By default, the post box will show you how the text will actually look like once published but if you manually type in BB Code yourself then when you preview/publish your post, the code will be displayed as intended but when you come back to the post (e.g. to edit it) then it will not show you the full code anymore despite it still being active. To view the full code, click on the last button above the post box which allows you to "View source" and see all the codes used in your post!
- If you want the post box to always be in source/code mode by default, go to your User CP > Edit Options (under "Your Profile" header) > scroll to the bottom of the page and check off the option to "Put the editor in source mode by default."
- I'm currently unable to figure out how to add custom BB Codes with this script that allows shorthand codes to display TCG-related images such as cards, graphics, etc so you will need to use the regular image BB Code for now! For all other built-in BB Codes (also known as "MyCode" in this script) available, you can use this guide as reference.
USAGE TIPS ★
- Whenever you are copying one of the form codes to fill out and post, make sure you add the line breaks back to them! By default, the code styling does not retain the line break after every field of a form so players will need to do it manually when posting. Any time a new field/line starts with the bold tag, it should be a new line!
- If you need a direct link to a specific post, look for the ID # of your post (the little #0 in the top right corner of each post where the "0" is replaced with the number that post is in the thread) and either click on that link or the "copy link" option if you left click on it instead. That URL is the direct link to that specific post!
