 | I have been FREEZING this past week that it's been so hard to do anything on my computer because my hands and fingers get cold so quickly and stay that way for so long lol That won't stop me being online but I am Suffering™ Hopefully the weather will get better soon and not be as cold where I am!!!! SITE MILESTONESThere's only two today, one for the new month and the other to celebrate us finally hitting 100+ decks released!  ev-202602, ev-100decks For the February 2026 milestone, anyone can take it as long as you were/are a member during this month so it doesn't matter when you joined - just make sure to grab it before the 28th or you will miss out on it! For the 100 Decks Released milestone, anyone can take it as long as you joined ON -OR- BEFORE TODAY but there's no deadline to claim it by. GAME UPDATESFollowing last week's update, this week these games listed should be updated to include choice cards as potential rewards again: Crazy Roulette, Artist Profiling, and Photobook Shoot. As always, please report it on the forums if they are not working!Registration for February's Sparkling Tour is also open now, and I'll post a new Special Challenge round later once I decide what to do for it this month (along with sending out rewards for January). As prepared as I tried to be, there were some things I forgot to think about and have ready on time tehe..... Group Collect is also back on the site so don't miss out on participating in that! Last month's Collab Stage (Sparkling Debut) was not completed in time as there are SEVEN (7) spots left so I am now opening it up to second donations for anyone who already submitted an image in January! Do remember that the series limits are in still in place so BanG Dream! is currently maxed out on donations, whereas Ensemble Stars! and Project Sekai are both almost maxed out with 2 out of 3 images donated each. Once that fills up, I'll open up a new round for February! I've started doing themed rounds for Card Medley and providing hints for each card or just the general theme overall so you guys can have a starting point for searching, and will try to choose cards (from the randomized pile I pull from) that have something in it to make it more obvious what deck it might be from if you take time to look through decks to play it! TCG NEWSFirst, I want to announce our first Seasonal Mini Event: White Valentine Month! After last week's update, I wasn't able to update the Sparkle Shoppe prices until the 29th but that has been completed now so if you purchased any items that are now cheaper, please report it on the forums for price adjusting so I can refund the necessary amount of currency! Since it's a new month, donation limits have been reset so go ahead and claim/donate now! If you want some extra rewards though, I recommend checking the White Valentine Month mini event above first before claiming anything~ February birthdays can start picking up their gift now as well, just remember to do so before the end of the month! Lastly, Wish Upon a Star is back to normal so only ONE (1) wish is allowed this month. PREJOIN REWARDSNow that we've hit 100 decks, it's time to finally send out rewards from pre-prejoin and prejoin! As a reminder, I will be sending out rewards based on the amounts shown in the Prejoin Rewards Tracker so if you receive something that does not match with what it says there, let me know. I'm going to start sending these out *AFTER* this update but most likely sometime later this week (or even as early as later tonight/tomorrow) and not right away, so once I've started (and finished) then I will edit this update and post in the Discord - please do not contact me about not receiving anything until then as it's most likely I haven't gotten to it yet!The results for SPARKLING! Lotto have also been announced as well so check out the winning numbers on the forums and fill out the form there to claim your prize. Even if you didn't get any matching numbers, you'll still receive a consolation prize so don't forget to claim your reward whatever it may be! The tentative deadline to claim prizes will be March 31st but if every participant collects it before that then I will lock it early. COLLAB STAGE DECK RELEASEIn addition to the regular deck release (which has even been increased to 30 decks), our first Collab Stage deck, themed-prejoin, is also being released today! Members who submitted an image can take the card that it was used in as their Donator Pull for free, and it will not count towards regular pulls. if you donated 2 images to the deck, you can only take ONE (1) card as your donator pull so choose which card you want between the two your images were used in for your Donator Pull! The claiming form will not have a field for you to add the Donator Pull officially so just edit your comment after it's posted with what you took and log it with your other pulls! This deck should be included in the dropdown list if you want to take additional cards from it however, but they WILL count towards your regular pulls and must still follow the stated pull restrictions/limits in this case.  | I know last update I said that the past week felt like it dragged on but now we've already arrived at the last week of the month?? ∑(゜Д゜;) Time is just a concept................ but we still have an update to do! It's going to be a long one, with lots of reading, so I do apologize for being such a yapper when it comes to writing out my thoughts but I'd appreciate if ya'll read through everything!! GAME UPDATESAlong with the scheduled sets updating (see above), there have been a few more changes to some of the games. If you've followed along with the issues being reported in the Discord, you'll know we've had some trouble with including choice cards in certain rewards but thanks to the help of some players, I've *attempted* a fix-- I just haven't been able to test it myself so I'll be depending on you guys to let me know if they work or not LOLThe affected games that will have their choice cards added back to their rewards are listed below, however do note that only TASTE TEST is available to play this week; the rest will have the choice cards added back into them when they're next updated so everyone will have the same access/opportunity to try it out! Unless the fix isn't working then I'll be keeping the rewards choice card-free until I do find a fix... :sobs:
I also noticed that some games were not giving out the actual reward intended and I didn't realize until today??? I'm so sorry for these errors... I double checked all the games being updated today and made sure the rewards matched what the game descriptions say but if I missed anything, please let me know!! Collab Stage (Prejoiners) has ONE (1) spot left and it is now open for ANY PREJOINER to donate to, even if you already submitted an image for this round! It's first come, first serve so be quick to post!! Group Collect has FIVE (5) spots left and is also now accepting second donations from anyone who already participated this month! Hit or Miss will have rounds close and new rounds open a bit earlier than the original deadline to better fit our staff's schedule so going forward, do try to get your plays in by Friday to be on the safe side! Your Idol 001 also closes tonight and a new round will be posted shortly after (this schedule will remain the same since I'm the one who starts/closes rounds); rewards for the first round will be sent out once staff is able to! Collab Stage (Sparkling Debut) will remain open until the end of the month for anyone who hasn't donated yet since we do have more than enough members to allow everyone a chance to submit something - but if it's not filled by the 31st, I'll allow second donations from anyone then! This would delay the next round if it comes to that but I don't think it'll take long to finish it once second donations are allowed anyways so hopefully it'll just be a brief delay. Also, I apologize for not clarifying this before, but please be aware that game rounds may include series we don't have decks for or currently accept as eligible series to even donate from, as long as they're an idol series! Due to the focus of this TCG, there's only so many qualifying series we can pull from for trivia game rounds so we may sometimes dip into other (but still related to the theme/topic) series for more variety. At the very least, I will start adding a note/hint stating if the series is one we'd accept decks of or have anything released yet for applicable rounds but I'm sorry if allowing this makes things more difficult for anyone who might not be familiar with a lot of series! Please know you're always free to ask for hints on the Discord if you're having trouble figuring out an answer though!! SPECIAL CHALLENGE RESPONSESI also just wanted to mention that I have been reading the survey responses so thank you to everyone who's shared their thoughts so far! I'm keeping a lot of your ideas in mind while thinking of new features to add in the future but I'm also planning on making some changes based on some of your answers, some of which have already gone into effect this week (or will be later today) - I'll go into details more in the "TCG News" section!(Also yes, I will most likely be adding merch eventually; initially, I wasn't going to because it became hard to keep up with in past TCGs I've run due to how much I needed to make but since many of you showed interest and I agree that it's an important part of idol culture, you'll see it sometime in the future! Just not anytime soon as I work things out because I have a lot of ideas for it lol) I did want to talk about Lyrical Lines in particular because I hear you guys! I knew it would be a difficult game but I thought blanking out words in the lyrics would be too easy which is why we were originally going to have two versions of the game that get rotated every week where one would be the translation version, the next would be filling in the blanks, and so on. I'll still be keeping the translation version of the game for the time being but we're going to start adding the series the song is from as a hint for those rounds, and stick to songs/lyrics that we can find an existing English translation of so it will be more easily searchable (and just use those translated lyrics as the round itself). I hope this is a decent compromise for those of you who were struggling with or straight up disliked the game if you choose to continue playing it! If it doesn't work out then we will revisit whether to keep this version or not :') That said, if you haven't responded to the survey yet, there's still one more week left to do so feel free to answer with your thoughts as well even if you feel like everything you could say has already been said by others! There is a reward for answering as Special Challenge is a monthly game after all, but I will only be sending them out once the round is closed. TCG NEWSThe form for double mastery rewards is now available and linked in your accounts! Remember you can only use this if you picked it as your Birthday Perk, and activated it on the forum first. I haven't been able to test this form myself yet so if anyone does, let me know if it works or not!I also wanted to plug the Site Milestones Suggestions thread as I'd love to see some ideas, especially for idol birthdays. February's monthly milestone isn't made (nor do I have anyone in mind) yet because I can't think of who has a February birthday off the top of my head currently - so any suggestions would be appreciated, both for next month and the future! CHANGES TO EXPERIENCE LEVELS & SPARKLE SHOPPEOne of the changes being made this week is to the Experience Levels: many of the card worth requirements have been increased to account for the amount of cards that can be gained in the TCG currently, which I know is a lot and will only increase even more once prejoin rewards are sent out next month. The affected ranks only start from Next Star (Level 5) however so those of you at level 3 right now and are close to level 4 don't need to worry about any changes yet!The second change is to the Sparkle Shoppe: we will be increasing the prices of a lot of items in our inventory right now, and decreasing some others, to account for their values/worth in comparison to other related items in the shop and because I've been very generous with rewards apparently so lots of you have a lot of currency to spend already (not to mention cards as well of course), despite the TCG only being opened for 2 weeks :bloblsweat: These changes will be taking effect after 11:59 PM (TCG Time) later today (January 24th) so there's still some time to make any last minute purchases before then! Anyone who purchases something that ends up having its price decreased will get a refund so spend freely if you had your eye on anything~ I'll make an edit here once the prices have changed over! My reason for making these changes is because I don't want anyone to think everything is too easy and lose interest quickly, however I do like you guys having lots of cards to trade with so that's why I'm not adjusting the amount of cards being given out for now even though I'm aware that I've been super generous with rewards LOL That said, when I was deciding rewards for the TCG overall during the planning stage, my main thought was rewarding those who put in a lot of work into participating in and maxing out everything they can in the TCG; if you work hard, you'll earn more and if not then that's okay too! Everyone plays TCGs differently and some people don't want to go ham, while some love it and want to min-max - both ends and everything in between are welcomed here so I hope the rewards you receive are reflective of that! Which is why I am making these changes and adjustments to see if they do well and if not, then more changes will be made :zany_face: MONTHLY REMINDERSSince we are almost at the end of January, this is your reminder to play the monthly games if you haven't yet, submit donations, claim your gift if it was your birthday this month, pick up the Site Milestones available to you (check the January 10th update for lots of them with some even expiring after the 31st), all that stuff! Don't forget that you must turn in completed tasks for Sparkling Tour BEFORE the end of the month or else they won't count, even if you finished them during January.NEXT UPDATEWe'll actually have our first combined weekly and monthly update next time since the two would-be-update days are literally one after the other this time! As a result, what would be the regular weekly update will be postponed by one day so instead of being posted on the 31st, it'll go up on February 1st!
