Dream Festival

Another activity we have here is one where players can put together their dream unit group to perform on stage at the Dream Festival! It's essentially our version of member decks that allows players to submit images that fit each card’s theme/requirement which will then be made into a collectable deck.

(Example 3-member DreamFes Unit deck, with locked and unlocked cards)
If this example was a real deck, these cards would show that the unit is named fa!ry dust and comprises of 3 members: Haruka Kiritani, Saki Tenma, and Emu Ootori (as seen from cards #06 - #08). They would have a fairy concept (as seen in card #03 - an image of a character wearing fairy wings) and the outfits they would wear look like the ones displayed in card #04. They will perform the song Worldwide Wander (as seen in card #05 - the illustration used in the MV for said song) during the Spring (as seen in card #01 - an image of cherry blossoms) on a stage that looks like the one displayed in card #02.
To actually unlock those cards for their own collection (and to eventually master once they unlock the entire deck), they must complete certain tasks assigned to each card as if they were actually recruiting the members of the unit, organizing/planning the stage, helping with the set up, carrying out the actual performance behind the scenes, etc!

Once a Dream Festival (also known as DreamFes or DreFes) deck has been completely unlocked and mastered, the player will receive a reward based on how many cards are in the deck, which you can find at the bottom of this guide. There is no individual reward for every card unlocked, besides receiving a copy of that card for your collection.

They will then be able to trade unlocked decks for other players’ DreamFes decks (that are also completely unlocked) which can all be mastered, but for a flat reward of 10 random cards, 2 ribbons, 1 EXP per deck no matter the number of members in the other players' unit!

  • DreamFes decks can only be traded in full, and do NOT count towards your Training Journal so if your DreamFes deck and another player's have a different amount of cards, it won't affect your trade count!
  • You can trade any of your DreamFes decks for another player's; it doesn't matter if you're trading your first deck for someone's second, for example. This is why there is only a flat base reward for each mastery of another player's deck, to account for potentially uneven trades!
Players can have as many Dream Festival decks as they want but only the first 2 decks are free! Additional decks must be redeemed with a dreamfesunit coupon which at the moment, will only be given out during events and as freebies on special occasion, as well as purchasable with EXP at the Sparkle Shoppe. Players can also only work on one DreamFes deck at a time so they must completely unlock and master one deck before registering for another!

PLANNING THE STAGE

Within each DreamFes deck, there are two types of cards: Character Cards which feature the members in the unit, and Setting Cards which feature other aspects of the stage such as the song performed, when and where the dream stage takes place, etc.

While players get to choose the images used in their deck, the images picked must fit the card type and theme requirement that the card represents! You can even use images from any media/adaptation type of eligible series, as well as non-eligible series that might not be accepted as official decks (ie. non-idol series or other idol series that don't have a card collection game of sorts) for Venue Location cards only, if they fit what you have in mind for your unit. Absolutely no fan art is allowed, however!

CARD NAMEDESCRIPTIONIMAGE REQUIREMENTS
Unit Members
(Character Card)
Units can have anywhere from 3 - 5 members, with 1 card per member! You can only choose characters from series that would be accepted as official decks, but characters do not necessarily have to be part of the main cast - as long as said character can have at least 1 Solo Stage deck.Images must be of the character selected for the unit, with 1 image/character per card!
Performance Date
(Setting Card)
This decides when the unit will perform, or more specifically: the season. The options you can choose from are: Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter!Image must have the chosen season visible as the background or setting/theme (ie. an image with lots of flowers or cherry blossoms specifically for a Spring performance). It does not necessarily need to be of someone performing in the chosen season (although it could be if you prefer), it just needs to obviously display the season!
Venue Location
(Setting Card)
This decides where the DreamFes unit's performance takes place, and what that venue/stage looks like!Image must be of the stage design, or how you imagine the stage to look like (ie. a screencap of a performance from an anime with the stage design/vibes visible, a game background asset of a stage or in-game event, card or official art with a stage setting you want to use, etc).
Unit Theme/Concept
(Setting Card)
This shows what the imagined concept or theme of the unit is, like a cute or cool unit; maybe they share a similar personality trait or appearance feature? Feel free to get creative with this and the image used - if you can justify to us that it fits and makes sense for the concept chosen, we'll allow it!Image must represent the chosen theme/concept, either as an exact reference/representation or just to demonstrate the vibes/visuals in mind (ie. if your unit is based on cat-like idols, image and/or personality-wise, then an image of any characters with a cat theme or wearing cat ears would fit even if those characters aren't actually in the unit).
Stage Outfit
(Setting Card)
This is what the stage outfits that the unit would wear for their performance will look like, or at least the inspiration for the outfits!Image must represent the imagined outfit idea or concept, whether it be an exact reference or just the inspiration for it, to get an idea of what it’d look like! The image does not have to be the same as the deck you master for this task; it just needs to be similar vibes or theme.
Song Choice
(Setting Card)
This is the song that the unit will perform on stage! It does need to be an existing song from an eligible series (so related to our TCG's theme of idol and idol-adjacent series) but any song is allowed, even if the original performers doesn't match however many members are in your unit.Image must be the cover art of the chosen song or a screencap/illustration from/used in/related to the chosen song’s performance/MV if it has one.
Please note that due to Character Cards varying in amount depending on how many members you choose to have in the unit, the first 5 cards in each DreamFes deck will always be Setting Cards, making them cards #01-#05. Character Cards will start from card #06 and continue on for however many characters are chosen for the unit!
EXAMPLE: A 3-member unit means the Character Cards would be cards #06-#09, whereas a 5-member unit means the Character Cards would be cards #06-#10.
As such, DreamFes decks can range from anywhere between 8 - 10 cards, depending on how many members the player wants in the dream unit but there will always be the same amount of Setting Cards in each deck! The final reward you receive upon unlocking and mastering the entire DreamFes deck, and thus completing a successful performance, will also vary based on the amount of members in the unit; more members = more rewards.

To register your DreamFes unit proposal and performance plan, make sure you've read the Dream Festival Information thread on the forums then fill out and post the Unit Registration form in your personal Dream Festival thread!

STAGE REHEARSALS & PREPARATION

Once you've submitted your DreamFes unit proposal and performance plan, you can begin working on bringing the stage to life! This means completing the task(s) assigned to each card in the deck so you can unlock it and receive the card for your collection.

Please be aware that all tasks must be completed & submitted for verification AFTER the initial registration form for your DreamFes unit is posted, unless otherwise stated! You also cannot post any unlock forms until an admin or staff member has approved the unit's registration. Additionally, please make note of the guidelines below that apply to all tasks as well:

  • Unit Theme/Concept and Song Choice cards can use masteries previously completed/submitted for rewards prior to the registration date, as long as those specific masteries haven’t been used for another DreamFes deck yet! All other masteries for other cards must be completed/submitted after the registration date however.
  • Fully-collected decks and trades in general that you plan to use can be from before the registration date as well, as long as they haven’t been submitted for rewards yet (which must be done after the registration date).
  • Any tasks involving bringing certain cards must have been earned after the registration date, whether that be from random rewards or trades. You will NOT lose these cards but you do need to have them on hand/pending when submitting the related task(s) for verification or it will be denied!
  • Decks you plan to use as DreamFes masteries can have any amount of cards prior to registering, even if you've fully collected a deck but haven't turned it in for rewards yet.
For more rules, information, and forms, please see the Dream Festival Information thread on the forums! To see the full task list, see below:
