Oshikatsu
One of our main activities here is what we call Oshikatsu, which is a term some of you may already be familiar with! If you're not, "oshikatsu" is essentially the act of "supporting your favorite" through different kinds of activities that fans engage in to show their love and dedication for a favourite idol/character.The word itself is a combination of the words "oshi" (推し) meaning a favorite character or idol, and "katsu" (活) which in this context means "activity" - hence, oshikatsu! (Source 1 / Source 2)So at SPARKLING!—a TCG focused on idols—this activity is meant to encourage members to show their love and support for a favourite character by mastering decks of them to join that character's individual fan club, and rewarding members for that dedication!
This activity is also a counterpart to our Fan Clubs activity which is the same concept but focused on whole series instead of individual characters. While the two are related, they are each their own standalone activity so members are free to participate in both, or only one and not the other, depending on their interest!
JOINING OSHI FAN CLUBS
In order to join an Oshi Fan Club, there must first be at least 6 unique decks already released of the chosen character at the time of joining! This is because initial entry to a fan club requires the member to have mastered 6 decks beforehand so upcoming or donated/claim decks won't work for this.Additionally, for Oshikatsu specifically, the only decks you can use for fan club entry (and subsequent rank ups) must be Solo Stages (so only the puzzle decks featuring a single character) of the chosen character you want to join the individual fan club of! If you're not sure which decks count, just look for any that has your oshi's name in the filename (ie. makinishikino-shiningflowerbouquet can be used to join Maki's fan club, but not Nico's).
- You cannot use Collab Stage decks (both unit & themed, as well as any decks with various- in the filename) that may feature the chosen character along with others for oshikatsu! Only Solo Stage decks can be used.
- You can also use Solo Stage decks used to join an oshi fan club, for a series fan club that the character is from, but you must re-master it to use again for the series fan club!
Members can join as many oshi and/or series fan clubs as they want as long as they meet the entry requirements for each. Although you can also level up in each fan club by mastering more decks, you don't *have* to if you just want to stay at your current rank in it for whatever reason!
To leave a fan club, simply post in your personal Fan Club thread that you would like to do so (no form required). You will no longer receive any benefits from being a member of that fan club but you can keep any membership badges obtained while you were! Should you want to rejoin, you will start from the beginning - including entry requirements, ranking up, and benefits but you may request new membership badges once you obtain them (or re-used your old ones).
FAN CLUB RANKS
As mentioned briefly, there are various ranks in each fan club that members can level up to if they desire, by mastering more decks of their oshi. Higher ranks will unlock more rewards and benefits, and also give you a new membership badge for each new rank!All players who first join a fan club start at the Bronze rank but to move up to the next rank, they will need to master a certain amount of additional decks featuring their oshi only. These additional masteries can be any combination of new/unique masteries and re-masteries so even in a situation where your oshi only has the bare minimum amount of decks released, you can still level up in their fan club by re-mastering those decks as many times as needed!

Benefits do stack so once you reach a new rank, you still retain all the benefits from previous ranks. The monthly gift pack you receive will also improve at Diamond rank, however the upgraded version replaces the previous version you would've received so when you claim the monthly gift from then on, it'll be the new iteration of it!
- When you join a fan club, please check the Fan Club Listing to see if your chosen oshi/series has a monthly gift pack available yet!
- If not, please request it be opened in that same thread using the Monthly Gift Pack Request form, as we only create a new fan club randomizer when we're made aware of it needing one.
MEMBERSHIP BADGES
Upon joining a fan club, and every time you level up to a new rank in one, you will receive a membership badge! This is custom-made for you with an image of your choice and will display your name, the focus of the fan club (your oshi), and your current rank.
